What’s confirmed is that the young hopeful is auditioning for a role that’ll be there through IX. And that there’s a long list of actors that are up for it, translation: heavy competition.

According to Heat Vision our engaged director also met with Adam Driver, Hugo Weaving and Michael Fassbender for potential spots in the sprawling saga.  Get this, one of ’em is rumored to be an Imperial commander.  Three guesses who.

ALL THEY NEED IS AN IDEA

Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3) was involved. His version focused on the offspring of Luke, Leia and Han Solo. Our original heroes were relegated to supporting parts but now that J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) took over things have changed.

HOW’S IT SHAPING UP?

Well according to sources we’re getting the reverse for the first flick. The classic characters are center stage while the young-bloods support ’em.

There’s an additional detail: George Lucas did not support this initially.

The latest bit to surface this week is that Abrams and Lucasfilm are now searching for a 20-something female actress who is either of mixed race or black. The rumor is that Obi-Wan Kenobi had a daughter or granddaughter.
