Shortlist Of Actresses For Sharon Carter In CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Online; Black Widow To Return

Previously we heard about three actresses (Anna Kendrick, Imogen Poots and Felicia Hardy) who Marvel were eyeing to play the ‘main female love interest’ in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and now an updated shortlist of five actresses has found it’s way online. Along with that, we’ve got confirmation that Black Widow will return in the movie which gives us an indication of a certain story arc that they’ll follow (Natasha having knowledge of the Winter Soldier project). The list is:

• Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones)
• Teresa Palmer (I Am Number Four)
• Alison Brie (Community)
• Imogen Poots (Fright Night)
• Jessica Brown-Findlay (Downton Abbey)

So it seems that Poots was the only actress to get through the first round, and all five actresses will be screen testing for the role. Personally I’d like either Teresa Palmer (she was great in the mediocre I Am Number Four) or Alison Brie, which might be the more likely option, because she’s worked with the Russo Brothers on Community.
