Peter Jackson Would Love To Direct An Episode Of DOCTOR WHO

Steven Moffat, make it happen. In an interview with The Waikato Times, the current Doctor Matt Smith expressed interest in having Peter Jackson (director of Lord of the Rings and the upcoming Hobbit trilogy) direct an episode of Doctor Who.

“Let’s get Peter Jackson to direct one and go and make it in New Zealand. I would love to, I will campaign endlessly to come over and film there. There’s clearly a great film industry out there. It’s something I would be very interested in, it’s just whether we can persuade the producers to fly us all over.”

The paper reached out to Jackson and his response was more than enthusiastic, thankfully.

”I’m a huge Doctor Who fan, and I think Matt’s fantastic. Just name a time and place, and I’ll be there!”

I would love to see Jackson direct an episode  – it would give it incredible scope, but I’m pretty sure he’d prefer if he directed a three-parter. I know, I’m hilarious. Would you like to see Peter Jackson direct Doctor Who? Share your thoughts below.
