Nolan & Christian Bale Abandon JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie

Another sad tale about WB’s attempt to resurrect DC’s silver screen heroes…

A few months ago we brought you news of Christian Bale‘s potential return to the cowl in a Christopher Nolan produced Justice League flick. While this never amounted to anything more than a rumor, it received a great breadth of coverage on the geeky news waves, and even though I’ve been a bit critical of the source (Latino Review) for their less than stellar Marvel movie ‘scoops’, they’ve proven their legitimacy with their Bautista-as-Drax claim.

Well, as it turns out, Nolan’s still unwilling to sully his Dark Knight universe with other heroes, a stance he’s maintained since his first outing in BATMAN BEGINS. He’s always considered his rendition of the Caped Crusader as a holy testament, which should never be the case with a character as fluid as Batsy, but I can understand Nolan’s trepidation.

Can we at least get a World’s Finest movie?

With a cast of characters as powerful (albeit ludicrous) as Green Lantern, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman, how can we justify the existence of a man in a bat suit?  And since Bale will only return if Nolan leads the charge, it doesn’t look like either will heed the call of Justice League.

What do you think? Are you happy to preserve the integrity of The Dark Knight Saga? Or would you prefer to see all of DC’s heroes on the silver screen in a proper, unified Nolan-verse?
