Mary Elizabeth Winstead to Cameo in Die Hard 5

The latest rumour doing the rounds is that the former Ramona Flowers, and UTF favourite, actress, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, is set to reprise her role as Lucy McClane in the upcoming Die Hard 5.

Whilst only a cameo it is always nice when a series keeps some continuity going. In case you decided to skip Live Free or Die Hard (Die Hard 4.0 in Europe), MEW, as we like to call her round here, played the role of John McClane‘s daughter who was kidnapped by the film’s cyber terrorist villain.

According to an extra working on A Good Day to Die Hard, Lucy cameos towards the end of the movie, possibly to welcome home her father and brother, played by Bruce Willis and Jai Courtney respectively, back to the country after their excursions in Russia.

The extra spilled the beans on his blog, but has since taken the post down, had this to say about the scene;

“I wish I could tell you everything about the scene, but that will have to wait until next year. It’s a scene near the end of the movie. I got to work with Bruce Willis again, which is always nice. The best, though, was that I got to work with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who plays Willis’s daughter. I’ve had a crush on her ever since she was the lead actress in Scott Pilgrim vs the World. That’s a terrific movie if you haven’t seen it yet.”

Anything with MEW in it is fine by us (and we mean fiiiiiiiiine), we still have our fingers crossed she gets cast in The Amazing Spider-Man sequel as Mary-Jane Watson.

Oh and the extra is right Scott Pilgrim is a brilliant movie, and if you haven’t seen it then check it out ASAP!

UPDATE

Further confirmation of MEW’s cameo in these set pics of her with protagonist, and on-screen father, Bruce Willis. Even driving a car she looks beautiful *sigh*
