Joseph Gordon-Levitt Discusses THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Deleted Scenes

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis’ sci-fi drama Looper hits screens this week, and the actor has been making the press rounds for the movie. In an interview with Collider, Gordon-Levitt talked about the movie (which I can’t wait for) and, more importantly, discussed the deleted scenes of The Dark Knight Rises, which is rumoured to be about a half hour’s worth. Read his comments below, and if you want to hear what he has to say about Looper you can watch the interview below that.

There’s been a lot of rumours about the deleted scenes for The Dark Knight Rises, with some outlets saying there’s 30 or 40 minutes worth. Is that true?

“No, I wouldn’t say that’s true. Every movie has a longer cut which gets edited, and deleted scenes implies that there’s whole chunks of the film missing. It’s not that, it just gets tightened up in the editing process.”

I’m going to take that as confirmation that there won’t be any deleted scenes on the DVD/Blu-Ray release, which I wasn’t really expecting anyway. I really want a Director’s Cut though, expect that probably won’t happen either.
