Adding to the already brilliant cast list for Iron Man 3, Deadline reveals that actor James Badge Dale (24, The Pacific) is in talks to appear in the movie as Eric Savin – better known to comics fans as the cyborg villain Coldblood. If you’re reading this thinking ‘WTF!?’ then you’re not alone. From what we’ve heard of the movie, a cyborg doesn’t fit in with nanotechnology and superhuman viruses at all. Could he possibly be a substitute for Mallen? But then how does Guy Pearce’s character fit in (his character in Extremis appears for literally three panels)? Beats me.
