Is Bill and Ted 3 really happening? Death hopes so!

Totally awesome news everyone, the second greatest time travel franchise of all time (nothing is ever going to beat Back to the Future lets face it) looks to be set for a threequel….. and Death wants in!

Both of the original stars of the time travel slacker films, Alex Winter and Keanu Reevs, Bill and Ted, have been talking about the progress of a third entry into the series and now Death himself has chimed in on the chances of it happening.

William Chadler, who played the guitar rocking Death in Bill and Teds Bogus Journey, had this to say :

I’m not sure if it’s a done deal yet. I know they’re trying to write The Grim Reaper in. Alex said ‘How could we do this without the Reaper?’ I’m hopeful. I’d love to go back with those guys again. That was one of the most fun roles I’d done.

So fingers crossed this gets made , time travel sequels are probably well suited to long gaps in between movies, I imagine that it would have a story about how Bill and Ted grew up not to be rockers and heroes of the world but rather how they both ended up living ordinary lives and now must go back in time to change it or something…. well thats what I would do anyway.

Bill and Ted 3 is currently waiting for a green light, but it does all look promising. The biggest problem for me is the fact that George Carlin, who played Rufus, is no longer with us, perhaps the guy who did the impressive Tupac hologram CGI could be hired to make a CGI rufus?
