Han Solo and Boba Fett Deemed Worthy Enough to Get Their Own Solo Films

Star Wars fans must be having the time of their lives. Star Wars is getting a new trilogy, with J.J. Abrams (Star Trek) directing the first, Marvel Comics are pumping out new comics, Star Wars 1313, the “big” Star Wars video game, is being released this year, a “samurai” type film is on its way, and recently it was announced that Disney is also planning “solo” films for various Star Wars characters. Crazy, right! Well, the first two solo films have maybe been confirmed.

According to Entertainment Weekly, fan-favorites Han Solo and Boba Fett will be the first characters to receive the honor of their own film adventure. Assuming that EW’s report is to be believed, the Han Solo film would take place between the Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope films, while the Boba Fett film would be placed between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, or Empire and Return of the Jedi.

Obviously, depending on when the films take place, the actors would maybe need to be switched, since Harrison Ford and Jeremy Bulloch (Han and Boba respectively) aren’t getting any younger, even if both have expressed interest in reprising their roles.

Of course, even if this is true, these solo films are probably years away. Of course, Star Wars fans will have plenty of other Star Wars products to keep them occupied untill then.
