Epic Behind-the-Scenes Peek at “The Hobbit”

When Peter Jackson first started filming The Lord of the Rings, it was a mostly secret affair.  Sure some Hollywood die-hards knew the inside scoop about filming and leaked a few set photos, but the majority of the footage was kept under wraps until the movies were ready for release.  It’s been over ten years and $3 billion in revenue since that first day of shooting began and the world has drastically changed.  Nowadays, everyone wants a piece of Jackson’s new prequel adaptations of The Hobbit and with all the money being made in entertainment news, people will do absolutely anything to get their hands on anything related to the film.

To try and circumvent all those headaches created by Hollywood’s evil media empires, Jackson has created these brilliant behind the scenes documentaries. They’re also a great fan service, especially since we’ve been waiting for these movies for ten long years!!!  The newest one premiered earlier today, so without spoiling if for you, go ahead and take a look:

Check out these flicks when they drop in theatres over the next two years. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey debuts December 14, 2012 and The Hobbit: There and Back Again hits theatres December 13 2013.
