DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Beats Marvel Studios and Transformers In Summer Poll

Take that Fox Studios haters! Bryan Singer’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST leads Rotten Tomatoes poll as the Most Anticipated Movie of Summer 2014. Not too shabby, right? Especially with Transformers: Age of Extinction (ranked 9th) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (ranked 2nd) devouring their fair share of the vote.

Hopefully more of you X-Men shamers will realize the franchise is viable at Fox. I know our favorite mutants have experienced their fairshare of hardships outside of Marvel Studios, especially with the preposterous plot of X-Men: The Last Stand, but Singer’s original two flicks were game changers. Hell, every X-Men flick besides Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine are great superhero movies, so I’ve no idea why the majority of fanboys despise their direction. Sure, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is a bit taller than he should be. And yeah, the movies are more “Wolvie and Friends” than they are a proper ensemble of “X-Men”, but thy’re still amazing!

With X-Men: Apocalypse scheduled for a 2016 premiere, we’re set for an insane amount of team-up flicks, with Days of Future Past in 2014, Avengers in 2015, and Batman vs Superman at 2016.

What a time to bea geek.
