CHEWBACCA in STAR WARS EPISODE 7?

‘Male, 7 ft to 7.3 ft tall with a slim/thin build and upright posture. Not too worked out or too ‘thick set’ especially in the shoulders. Broad facial features would be a bonus.’

This is a casting call from the UK for a film being produced by Kathleen Kennedy, JJ Abrams, Bryan Burk, and Tommy Harper (the producers of Star Wars Episode VII. Yes there is a chance that they all are working on a different movie together about lanky giants or something, but who seriously believes that? This casting call screams Star Wars to the point where I don’t even think they tried to hide it.

The question isn’t really about what movie is this for. The question is more of why does this one matter? Casting calls happen all the time, and most open casting calls (specially for high budget movies) are for small characters. This one is different though. The description of what they are looking for is very specific for a certain fan favorite who may have a spot in Episode VII, Chewbacca himself.

We all know about the rumors swirling around Han Solo being in the upcoming movie. It’s no secret that many fans are all for this as well, but bring in Chewie and we basically have confirmation. There is no way they just throw in a Chewbacca cameo (see Episode III for a reason) without giving us Han. Before we jump to this conclusion though there are 2 things that dispute if this is for Chewbacca

The first problem with this theory is the standalone Han Solo prequel that will be coming out. Is that what they are really casting? Chewbacca has to be in the Han Solo movie, like there is no option. You just can’t not show us how Han and Chewie met.

The second problem is how old will Chewie be in VII? Think about it. He was a full grown Wookie in III and VII will be taking place years after the end of VI. Is Chewie the oldest Wookie of all time? Or maybe Wookies all live into their 100s and stay athletic and able to fight (which they do)?
