Ben Stiller to Roam Museum Once More in Night at the Museum 3

The Night at the Museum comedy film series never really made waves. The films were just another Ben Stiller comedy vehicle. So, to my surprise, Fox has announced that they will be making a third film in the series.

Fox is aiming to release Night at the Museum 3 on Christmas Day 2014. Star Ben Stiller and director Shawn Levy (Date Night, Real Steel) are confirmed to return for this film.

N-nice dinosaur…

The first Night at the Museum film, which was based on the children’s book The Night at the Museum, was released in theaters December 22, 2006, and made over $570 million dollars.

The sequel, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, was released in theaters May 22, 2009, and earned around $413 million, less than the former film, which might explain why Fox is releasing film 3 in December, like the 1st one. Ben Stiller starred in both films, and Shawn Levy directed both.

“I think we found something!”
“Yeah, a better film!”

Honestly, I have never cared for Shawn Levy’s films (well, I liked Real Steel), and I never cared for Ben Stiller, and I never cared for the Night at the Museum films, so….I think I’ll pass on this film.
