BATFLECK… is that you?!

There’s been a bit of a lull lately for any Ben Affleck as Batman related news but it looks like while I was off doing my own Sunday shenanigans this surfaced.

Now that you’ve had a moment to properly geek out or groan, depending on your gut reaction, let me explain what we know about it.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

The genesis is that it showed up on Instagram with claims of legitimacy but no confirmations. No site has yet to discredit it, and they haven’t been asked to remove it. What makes it hard to authenticate is the fact that it’s apparently a photo of photo, so with all that in consideration let’s be frank, this more than likely is nothing more than fan art. But it could be the real deal pic we’ve been waiting for.

Take a moment to remember what Kevin Smith said about the costume:

…“oh my god, that’s the suit? The suit looks amazing, man. What did you get people to model it?” and he goes “that’s your boy” and I look closely and it’s Ben Affleck wearing the suit. The suit… it’s not mine to spill in terms of what it looks like, you’ll see it, they’ll tell you when they want you to know. Any Batman fan is going to be f***ing pleased, I’m going to tell you that right now. Like f***ing beside themselves going holy s*** they did it. It was phenomenal, man and made me happy as hell.

I’m going to go ahead and say what we’re all thinking: I hope that this turns out to be close to the big screen adaption. Mainly because this is a version of Batfleck that I can support all the way to the box office.
