Actress Drops Huge Prometheus Spoiler…UPDATE

It seems like Ridley Scott’s hard work at keeping the plot of his Alien prequel a secret has been thwarted by the loose lips of starring actress Kate Dickie.  The film, mysteriously titled Prometheus, has been the source of much speculation in the past few months, so this news is one of the biggest reveals yet.  Now, you know how this works…if you don’t want to read this spoiler, then turn away now! It’s a pretty big one too, so if you don’t want to ruin the film for yourself, I suggest looking away.

UPDATE: Apparently this was a rumor started in the IMDB forums and not taken from the actual interview.  This ‘allegation’ has been unconfirmed, but take this spoiler with a grain of salt anyway.

Alright, now that the obligatory warning is out of the way…In a recent interview with The Daily Star, the actress revealed that she’ll only be in the film for 28 minutes. The source of her demise? She’ll be devoured by an alien, of course. While Scott’s yet to respond to this spoiler-rific leak, I think it’s safe to say that Dickie dropped the ball on this one.

Kate plays a tough first officer called Mudow, who needs to help her fellow crew members become acclimatised to their removal from cryo-sleep after a long space journey which ends on an apparently barren planet.

With their muscles wasted from five years without use, she helps them to get fit – only for them to fall victims to horrible creatures that begin stalking them for food

My question is this…If the film’s producers have adamantly reassured us that xenomorphs won’t be present, then who will eat dear old Dickie? Are the Space Jockey‘s the culprits? Or something even more terrible?
