A New Production Video for The Hobbit

Just when I thought Peter Jackson had forgotten about us, he’s finally back, with an all new installment in his amazing vlog. This time around we take a look at the second film of the series, The Hobbit: There and Back Again. Just like all the other videos, this one is filled with a ton of teases, as we’re limited in what the studio and Jackson will allow us to see. Still, there’s nothing quite like taking a nice, long visit back to Middle-Earth. So, without further adieu, check out the juicy clip below.

I really think a lot of films will start copying Jackson’s format. These vidoes are usually just thrown onto the “special features” part of Blu-Rays, where only the most diehard of fans will venture. But having them metered out over the course of a film’s actual production is such an original idea, not to mention great for marketing, that I imagine a ton of other great properties will take notice. Ahem, Marvel… I’m looking at you.
