ROCKET RACCOON ‘S First Appearance Sells For a RIDICULOUS Amount of Money!

In an odd piece of news that will have fanboys running to their 70’s comics so fast they may pass out, Marvel Preview #7 sold for a whopping $2,000. Industry analysts are having an extremely hard time figuring out why the comic book had sold for such a high price. Some experts in the comic book industry say that the first appearance of Satana could be the reason for a comic to sell, others say that an obscure character named Rocky Raccoon makes his debut in the issue.

Rocky Raccoon is actually the original name of Rocket Raccoon who will appear in the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy movie. However the chances of the common fanboy owning the copy of a $2,000 comic are very slim, due to the fact that is it only worth that amount of money if it is CGC 9.8 graded. According to internet there are only 10 copies in existence that are truly CGC graded 9.8. If you are one of the lucky ten people get rid of your piece as quick as possible because strange prices like these tend to fluctuate in anticipation of a movie, and you probably need the money that Marvel NOW! is draining from you.

At another recent auction a piece of original art with the odd raccoon sold for $7,170. The piece of art in question was from another creator who is just as obscure as the raccoon himself, he goes by the name Mike Mignola. The piece was actually the cover of the Rocket Raccoon miniseries from 1985.  Rocket Raccoon was created by Bill Mantlo and Keith Giffen and if the pair are lucky, hopefully they will receive credit for creating the characters in the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy movie. And if you happen to have a copy of Mignola’s glorious Raccoon centric doodlings, then make sure you cash in now!  As they say, always trust your local comic book website for important financial decisions.
