Star Wars: Legacy #15 Review

Time grows short for this corner of the legendary franchise, so should you bother picking these final issues? Read on to find out.

The official description from Dark Horse:

The bad news: She has been taken into custody by the Empire for the murder of an Imperial Knight!

Somebody’s getting a death sentence!

Star Wars-Legacy 15_Preview PageReady for yet another adventure among the stars? The creative team has the answer as they yet again deliver a winning continuation for this narrative, as they further explore the burgeoning exploits of their dynamic cast. In short: it’s time to grab your blaster and prep for yet another highly entertaining and immensely rewarding trek into the far off future of a galaxy far, far away.

Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman work together to build up a worthwhile script that brings allies and a bounty hunter into direct confrontation. Ania Solo is at the center of the conflict as both the audience and her friends need to take a moment and assess whether or not we believe she’s innocent of the very specific murder of an Imperial Knight. The authors balance that mode of questioning pefectly with an action packed release that easily builds to a rewarding conclusion.  All I can say is: with time running out, I’m excited to see where this goes from here.

The illustrations by Gabriel Hardman are once again dynamic as the talent pulls double duty for this Star Wars series. He captures the look and feel of the text by offering sure pencil strokes that build a set of detailed renditions that easily impress even the most discerning fanboy or fangirl. Add in the colors by Jordan Boyd and you have what can easily be called: the complete package.

Star Wars: Legacy #15 is an outstanding comic book that carries enough heart and purpose to earn a spot on your pull-list. If you haven’t been following this volume pick this one up and grab the last few issues as well, trust me you won’t regret it. Highly recommended.
