Sheltered #13 Review

People’s loyalties are tested in New Haven, while the FBI and others do their best to try and stop the situation.

The official description from Image:

Here is it: the showdown thirteen issues in the making. It’s Safe Haven vs. The World.

STK652829This issue was really good. I mean it was really cool and I really enjoyed it. I do think that this is going to be crazy the next issue but this one was needed to really set up the ending, and it is very logical. The issue is the police trying to figure out how to get into New Haven with the least amount of casualties. They do get a chance to talk to Mitch, when he sent to them to show his loyalty to New Haven. Then, the plan is revealed. It seems that the kids will wait it out for as long as possible until Yellowstone erupts, which, they believe is the end of the world. Keep that in mind because the kids realize that the police will not harm them because there will be serious social issues with that. The Police try an alternate route to get in but are then shot back and then the ending happens which is, both, smart and logical. You will just have to read it.

Ed Brisson is a really great writer and knows how to set up an epic situation. I am very happy with this issue, even though not a ton happens. It is really interesting and shows that he doesn’t think his audience is dumb. It is really cool to have that from a writer.

Johnnie Christmas is a really fantastic artist. His backgrounds and set pieces are done so well. The one thing that I do really like is the facial features of the characters. They are really brash but so cool. It fits for this comic.

Sheltered #13 is  a great set up for the ending.
