Monster & Madman #2

What happens when the Frankenstein monster arrives in the place, where the greatest killer lives?

After a brutal journey, the Frankenstein Monster arrives in London. The year is 1888 and the area of the city known as Whitechapel is about to become a slaughterhouse. Eleven women will be murdered. Only five will be attributed to Jack the Ripper… discover the secret history of the Ripper and the Frankenstein Monster!

So, in this chilling issue of the chronicles of the Monster and The Ripper, it seems that everything is coming together to have some FEB140378sort of big reveal or battle. I happen to love the idea of either. I think that it is a fantastic idea and I hope that it develops that way. However, in this issue we have a build up to where The Monster has arrived in merry old London, where there has been murders all around. Now, just like true story of Jack the Ripper, no one knows who is behind these murders but there is some attribute of it being Jack. This mystery adds to the development of the story because it is unsure of what role the Monster will play within the story. Will the monster save the day or ruin it? You will have to read to find out more.

The writing for this issue is swift and genius. It is something that I have to say is eerie and creepy. You will understand when you read it. The way that Niles crafts a horror story brings the reader into it enough that you have to look over your shoulder to make sure your still alone.

The art adds to the, overall, feel of the issue. I mean it adds a dynamic that would be lost in just imagination. I really love it.

Monster & Madman adds a whole new level of horror in this new issue.
