JIM BUTCHER’S DRESDEN FILES: DOWN TOWN #1 Review

Harry is back with a brand new adventure but this may be one that is harder than the rest. Is this new adventure worth reading? Read on to find out more.

The official description from Dynamite:

Another all-original tale of the Dresden Files! Months after the events depicted in Jim Butcher’s New York Times bestselling White Night, the War between the Red Court and White Council rages on. But vampires are far from the only supernatural threat Chicago’s only wizard for hire must stand against. Someone has unleashed an entity unlike any Harry has yet encountered — and it has begun targeting the innocent, seemingly indiscriminately. Along with his apprentice, Molly Carpenter, Harry must uncover the truth behind this new predator… no matter how far into darkness he must descend.

DresdTown01-1-a88d8Well we have another exciting adventure of Harry in this new Dresden Files arch and let me tell you it’s pretty good. The story deals with Molly and Harry trying to figure what is trying to take over Chicago, which it’s not vampires. It is pretty intense. You learn a lot about this new threat and how it will play out in the future of the series. Along with that, you really get to see Molly and Harry have to deal with some crazy stuff. The only problem that I had was that it took a little too long to get into. It starts kind of slow, for me at least but it’s still pretty good.

Jim Butcher and Mark Powers have a great voice and understanding of the character and knows what the fans want. They succeed in doing some great stuff but it does start a little slow.

Carlos Gomez is a great artist that really delivers  on this issue because some crazy things happens and new creatures really tests the artist but the artist handles it quite well.

Jim Butcher’S Dresden Files: Down Town #1 is pretty good but has some issues.
