EMERALD CITY COMICON 2014: A Retrospective!

Let’s talk Emerald City Comicon kids, because even as I prep to depart I’m left with a sharp grin.

EPILOGUE

I arrived in Seattle with light expectations. Let’s face the truth: we all search for a place where we can just be ourselves. Whether we’re the audience or a creator we’re all tied to that fact especially on a convention floor.

Over the last three days, among a sea of attendees, I saw cosplayers, talked with writers and met illustrators. I got to enjoy people from all walks of life, as we rushed around and had a blast while bumping our days away.

WHAT DID I GET OUT OF THIS?

It’s true that like anyone at a con I bought prints and issues, but that’s not all that I’m taking back to Arizona. I have a truckload of memories from the kind people I talked with to the industry members I was fortunate enough to meet.

This whole trip has been an engaging experience.

IT’S THE TYPE OF PLACE…

Where if you turn a corner you’ll see Batman in his Sunday finest sorting through issues of Action Comics, clearly researching his competition. Or a zombie hanging out with family, without eating their brains!
