Catalyst Comix #9 Review

With everyone having their own demons to face, who will become prosperous and who will fail? Read on to find out.

It’s all come down to this! The Agents of Change smash their way through a hellish mindscape, Grace dukes it out with an alien invasion force, and Frank Wells stands up to the biggest bully of them all! Make yours Dark Horse with the greatest issue yet of Catalyst Comix!

I have always been a big fan of this series, after I actually gave it chance because of the anthology feel for this. Also, I have thought imagesof this series developing quite well even with everything being cut into thirds. Overall, it has been a joy to read. Now let’s get started with this series. First off, The Agents of Change, go through a place to try and figure out their next step. This one is not very good. I was disappointed with this story because of this part. It just wasn’t very story driving or thought provoking. However, Grace does some great things with her part. I mean it is something to be admired because of the alien invasion. It is quick and exciting. Now, finally, I have to say that the best part is the Frank Wells part. They do some great development in this issue with them taking on a huge “bully”. You will get the quotes around “bully”, when you read it. It is so clever and interesting that you will be like omg. It is pretty great.

The writing is great for all Grace and Frank, it is clever, story driven, and more because of the writing. Now, usually, The Agents do a great job but this time it’s not that good. Hopefully, it will get better.

The art for all three is stunning. I have to say they all have action and they do this really cool part of being able to show them all.

“Catalyst Comix” are doing some great things, you can see that by the way things are going and things will change”
