Bryan Singer Confirms the Four Horsemen in X-Men Apocalypse

While its true many of us Suspected we saw The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse at the end of Days of Future Past, that has now been confirmed.   Bryan Singer released a tweat recently with an image of X-Men Apocalypse ‘s first page as well as an image confirming the other writers attached are Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.  Simon Kinberg worked on Days of Future Past with Singer, while Dougherty and Harris both worked on X-2.

While this may not be huge news, and we are not close to actually filming it is nice to see this team together.  As a person who writes (in fact you are reading my words right now) I’ve always been very interested in the writing process especially on something as collaborative as a film.  This tweet  seems to indicate that despite his personal legal and potentially criminal charges Singer is moving forward and I hope Fox is supporting the man who brought so much to the X-Men franchise.  While I usually side with the potential victim in a sexual assault allegation before all of the information is in, I find the allegations against Singer very odd, and far from cut and dry.  This gives the man the benefit of the doubt in my mind.

While the filmographies of Kinberg, Dougherty and Harris are full of serious duds, their X-Men work has been great.  Hopefully we’ll get to see X-Men Apocalypse on May 27, 2016, and hopefully production doesn’t go to hell and Brett Ratner steps up to film the movie.
