Project X Zone Heading to North America

If you are a gamer, then chances are that you have heard about Capcom, Namco Bandai, and Sega’s crossover 3DS video game, Project X Zone. If you haven’t, don’t worry about it. You probably aren’t the only one! Anyway, the RPG fighting video game was previously Japan-only, but Namco Bandai Games announced today that they would be bringing the game over to North America, Europe, and Australia!

The game, which was announced way back in Spring 2012, is a follow-up of the crossover video game Namco x Capcom, which was never released in the States. The game features over 50 playable characters from various video games published by Sega, Capcom, and Namco Bandai, including Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Tales of, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Xenosaga, .hack, Super Robot Wars, Darkstalkers, and many more!

In the game’s story mode, the player has a team of two characters. The plot is described as this:

Project X Zone takes place in a world surrounded by a hidden chaos with shadows and evil lurking beneath the peaceful cover of everyday life. When a rift in time and space suddenly appears, a doorway to various universes is opened allowing both heroes and villains from different worlds to cross paths.

The gameplay was handled by Banpresto. The game was directed by Morizumi Souichirou, and produced by Kensuke Tsukanaka. The game was released in Japan October 2012. So far, there is no NA release date for the game, other than 2013.

This game looks like a must-buy for anyone who owns a 3DS. I may even pre-order this awesome game!
