Portable Skyrim! Well Kinda…

Were you one of those people who sunk hundreds of hours into Skyrim? Who looked to see when the nearest flight left to Tamriel? Well if you are, imagine being able to take that world with you on the go! Skyrim is heralded as being one of the most immersive and expansive open worlds created in recent memory, so being able to experience that anywhere would be pretty cool. Sadly that’s not quite the case, but Youtube user Eyepatchcars has managed to get a version of it playing on the Playstation Vita.

Okay so maybe the controls are a little janky (and by that I mean totally broken, you can’t control the camera properly) but Eyepatchcars had this to say

“Using the SDK and VitaRemoteClient, this shows 26-33fps at 95% quality using the remote play like app. You can see how it runs, but a control scheme needs to be figured out as the mouse control stick does not move the view in realtime.”

Check out the video below:

Is playing Skyrim on the go something you’d be interested in? I sure as hell would be. Bethesda, please pay attention! Imagine being able to use the cloud saving feature to keep a consistent character between PS3 and Vita!
