PLAYSTATION ALL-STARS BATTLE ROYALE New Characters Leaked

It seems Superbot are in desperate need of a plumber, as yet more leaked photos have appeared all but confirming as yet unannounced characters for the final roster. The official website for the game was apparently updated earlier with images clearly showing both Sackboy and Raiden in his Metal Gear Rising guise. Both characters have previously been seen in leaked information, so their appearance here lends strength to the prior rumored information.

Below are the two images captured by NeoGAF user Coolbgdog12:

What’s more, an additional NeoGAF user SuperSonic1305 captured an image showing quite a blurry line up of a lot of the characters in the game (including those unannounced) and what looks like the final box art for the game:

It goes even deeper; there may be even more unannounced characters in this line up, with Nariko (Heavenly Sword) between Sweet Tooth and Parappa, Jin Kazama (Tekken) on the right side of Parappa then Kazuya (Tekken) and Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden) just to the left of Cole. This is all speculation at this point though. Crit202 posts on the All Stars forum:

From all of these leaks we can build what seems to be a pretty complete roster: Big Daddy (BioShock), Colonel Radec (Killzone), Dante (Devil May Cry), Evil Cole (Infamous), Fat Princess (Fat Princess), Good Cole (Infamous), Heihachi (Tekken), Jak & Daxter (Jak & Daxter), Jin Kazama (Tekken), Kat (Gravity Rush), Kazuya (Tekken), Kratos (God of War), Nariko (Heavenly Sword), Nathan Drake (Uncharted), Parappa the Rapper (Parappa the Rapper), Raiden (Metal Gear Solid), Ratchet (& Clank?) (Ratchet & Clank), Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden), Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet), Sir Daniel Fortesque (MediEvil), Sly Cooper (Sly Cooper), Spike (Ape Escape), Sweet Tooth (Twisted Metal) and Toro (Sony Mascot).

I’m sure we’ll see some announcements at both Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show but Superbot essentially confirmed the information revealed in the previous leaks as truth. Many of the characters above have come from speculation so the list is very subject to change. Would you be happy if the game shipped with the roster above? Are there any glaring omissions you really want? Certainly the lack of Cloud, Spyro and Crash are saddening (Activision have wrapped up the rights to the latter two), but who else would you want to see?

    I really want to see some more gameplay footage from this. I think I’m spoiled after SSBM though, and i don’t think anything can quite live up that standard

        You mean the one that’s co-developed with namco bandai, right? Don’t take this the wrong way, I’m a HUGE fan of Smash Bros. but I think this new one will be the weakest installment in the series…

    If these images came from the site, why is it that half of the characters’ shadows are out of place and look like they have been Photoshopped?

    Its very great That Some Other franchises show up in this like medievil… man that game franchise was awesome until the reboot on the psp… man it got the game’s in high quality i’ll give it that but outcome of it was that the franchise is still waiting for a 3rd game but it might come someday. also if they end up puting the newer look for dante in this i’ll be so pissed for one good reason…… NINJA THEORY RUINED THE SERIES!!!!!!! also for those who keep saying Crash Bandicoot and Spyro The Dragon To Appear in this…… Keep the hopes up as well as having the characters from the tenchu series in it like Rikimaru and Ayame they were from a franchise that started on the playstation then when the years passed to be precise the games scattered to other systems as well same thing with Crash And Spyro.
    Still I Can’t Wait For This to come out
