Lego Lord Of The Rings To Be Released This October

Rejoice, fans of the LEGO games! The Lego games series, which includes LEGO Batman, Lego Indiana Jones and LEGO Star Wars, is set to have a new entry released this October. And that new entry is the long rumored LEGO Lord of the Rings! The LEGO game of Peter Jackson’s adaptations of J.R Tolkien’s trilogy has been a long time coming, and it looks like it’s finally coming to games consoles this year, ahead of the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in December.

Kotaku have posted an image of one of the new LEGO Lord of the Rings toy sets, which features an ad for the new game, along with the possible cover art. Have a look at the image below:

And that’s not the only piece of evidence pointing to a LEGO Lord of the Rings game. In a bit of a cock-up, online retailer ShopTo posted a listing for the game, along with a 26th October release date. They’ve, as you’d expect, taken the listing down, but we took a quick screenshot for you guys.

The game will include gameplay from Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and Return of the King, with possible The Hobbit gameplay too.

With E3 coming up, there’s probably an official announcement coming soon, so stay tuned to UTF for more news as it comes.
