Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix Trailer Released

The website for the upcoming PS3 video game, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix, released the first trailer on December 25th. The trailer was originaly shown at Jump Festa 2013.

The game is an HD port of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, and will also feature cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Kingdom Hearts and Chain of Memories were already previously re-released, but this will be the first Kingdom Hearts game for the PS3 console.

Tetsuya Nomura (Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger) will be returning as director and designer, and Yoko Shimomura (Legend of Mana, Super Mario RPG) will be composing the music score.

The Kingdom Hearts franchise celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this year by releasing Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS console. Kingdom Hearts III is still in early development. A manga and novel series is currently publishing in Japan. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix will be released in Japan March 14, 2013. No North American date has been announced yet.

I think there is a good chance of this being brought over. Square Enix could call it Kingdom Hearts HD Collection, since those are all the rage nowadays. I already own the first few games, so I probably wouldn’t buy it, but I’m sure it would sell all the same. Now if only Enix would hurry up and release Kingdom Hearts III already…
