Injustice: Gods Among Us Release Date Confirmed, Battle Edition Details Revealed

DC’s upcoming fighting video game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, has been seeing a flurry of news in the last few days, and that streak isn’t stopping just yet. DC has revealed the release date for the fan-craved video game: April 16. Only a few months away!

Meanwhile, details for the “Battle Edition” have been released.  The Battle Edition not only brings the game (obviously), but also comes with a fight stick featuring artwork from DC (for those who want to re-live their arcade days), and three skins featuring Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in their New 52 outfits. The stick has adjustable lights that glow while you play. The Battle Edition costs $149.99, and will be sold for a limited time at Gamestop and EB Games.

But the tidbits don’t stop there! DC has also released some info for the “Collector’s Edition”. This pack brings the game, a statue showing Wonder Woman fighting Batman, the three skins, a digital download of the animated film Justice League: Doom (which is awesome, by the way), and and the first six chapters of the comic prequel (which we previously reported).

The Collector’s Edition

This game seems to be getting more attention and hype from fans than the average DC video game. Maybe this will make up for Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, a hyped game that was quickly forgotten.

Oh, and this pretty much confirms Doomsday:
