HARLEY QUINN Dumps Joker in New INJUSTICE Trailer?

Whoah. After all these years of Harley Quinn and Joker being DC’s resident messed-up couple, it seems that they might be calling it quits. Or at least they are in the upcoming fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us. Check out the drama in the new trailer.

The new trailer, which focuses on Harley Quinn after deciding that her puddin’ is old news, is pretty cool, and it will make total sense for those reading the Injustice tie-in comic. In the comic tie-in, Harley Quinn and Green Arrow end up becoming quite….chummy, and it seems that she might just become a good guy.

However, the return of the Joker could wreck things. Now here is where it gets interesting: early in the comic, Superman kills Joker. Yet Joker is playable in the video game, which takes place after the comic. And the writer of the comic even said in an interview that if someone dies, they won’t come back. So what is the deal?

Well, in the trailer, they strongly hint that the Joker….isn’t who he appears to be. Is it a wannabe? A shapeshifter? An illusion? Or a Joker from an alternate dimension? Whichever it is, Harley Quinn isn’t gonna be taking an trash from him anymore, and boy, she lets him have it!

Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on April 16. NetherRealm Studios (Mortal Kombat) is handling the gameplay.
