A new and exciting Splinter Cell game has been debuted at E3.
The latest addition in the long running series, the new title Splinter Cell: Blacklist looks great and has some interesting mechanics. The most important of which is just how fluid the game seems to be, Sam running between people shooting with expert precision. This is done through the mark-and-execute methods seen in Splinter Cell: Conviction, but the whole thing is done flawlessly. Of course there are other ways of subduing enemies, including the classic “hey, you” distraction.
As for the plot, the game follows Sam Fisher as he tracks down the leader of Blacklist; an (fictional) international terrorist organization targeting American interests. The game play ends on quite a drastic cliffhanger, so there aren’t any spoilers to worry about. Needless to say, the game looks intense, with all the flavor and atmosphere the spy series is known for.
