Zack Snyder Rushes To Aquaman’s Defense On Detroit Radio Show

If this isn’t the final piece of proof that Aquaman is in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, I don’t know what is. This morning, a man claiming to be director Zack Snyder called into Detroit radio show 97.1 The Ticket after hearing the hosts disparage the aquatic superhero and his supposed role in the upcoming team-up movie. You can click here to listen to the full segment, but the highlights included Zack pointing out that Aquaman’s trident could “cut the flesh of Superman if they came in contact,” he is super strong and has the potential to be badass.

However, what’s to say this isn’t some random caller pretending to be Snyder? A couple things. First, the voice sounds very similar to Snyder. Just listen to him at San Diego Comic-Con, and compare it to the voice on the radio. Second, the phone number that called the station had a Los Angeles area code, and Batman V Superman is currently filming in Detroit. The dots are starting to connect.

If that isn’t enough for you, Batman V Superman cinematographer Larry Fong tweeted about the call-in shortly after, followed by Germain Lussier of /Film confirming that it was indeed Zack Snyder on the phone.

Finally, Twitter user @Bananadoc posted this picture of Snyder on-set using his cell phone around the same time. Unless this is all one hell of a coincidence, this looks to be an open-and-shut case.

There you have it, folks. Batman V Superman director Zack Syder took time out of his busy day to talk about Aquaman on a radio show. At this point, Warner Bros really needs to officially announce Jason Momoa playing Aquaman. What’s the point in waiting anymore?
