Break Out The Guns! Zack Snyder Debuts BATMAN V SUPERMAN Batmobile

Earlier today, we showed you leaked photos of the Batmobile from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The car looked cool, but let’s not kid ourselves; without the proper camera, equipment and lighting, you can’t bring out the true potential of a costume or vehicle from a movie. It’s all about the theatrical illusion, i.e. seeing what it will look like on the screen.

Well, director Zack Snyder has struck back and given us what we wanted. Earlier tonight, he tweeted out the first official picture of Batman’s wheels for the upcoming team-up flick. The photo was taken by Clay Enos.

Check out that beauty! Up close and detailed for everyone to see! When UTF writer M.R. Gott wrote about the new Batmobile earlier from the leaked photos, he pointed out that it was a good mix between the Tim Burton version and the Christopher Nolan version. I have to agree. It excellently combines the militaristic features of the Tumbler with the sleekness of Michael Keaton’s ride. No mistaking this for a “tank.” I can definitely imagine this car patrolling the streets of Gotham City. Although, since the Batfleck has been fighting the forces of evil for about 20 or so years, this is probably the latest version of the Batmobile. Maybe when he started out, he was driving a souped-up Mazda Miata.

One thing that’s ironic are the guns at the front. I know Batman’s packed firepower on the Batmobile in other movies, but these are just sticking right out, rather than the traditional side-mounted or pop-out guns. Obviously Bats won’t be blasting criminal scum with those cannons, but they’ll certainly put the fear of God into them.
