TEEN TITANS GO! “I See You” Review

Teen Titans Go! is back, and the word of the day is: stakeout.

Robin (Scott Menville), being overly excited as usual, informs his fellow Titans that he is going on a stakeout, as crime is afoot. After some teasing over choice of words, Robin tells them that only he and Starfire (Hynden Walch) will be going on this stakeout. Can it be that Robin’s intentions aren’t all pure?

Beast Boy (Greg Cipes) and Cyborg (Khary Payton), feeling left out, decide to do a stakeout on their own. And they have the perfect target: Raven (Tara Strong). After all, she probably has the most  secrets of anyone in the tower!

This episode was reasonably funny, but at the same time, one of those episodes that wasn’t too memorable for me. Most of the funniest scenes involve Robin’s not-so-subtle, yet still lost on Starfire flirting. Its funny, but at this point, nothing we haven’t seen before.

I also like the stakeout scenes; Robin, it turns out, was lying about the crime….but Starfire gets really into it, and somehow, finds crime anyway. Starfire’s disguise is a bit much, but I guess it worked.

Unfortunately, Beast Boy and Cyborg can still be pretty annoying. However, this time, they do have a penance for their actions, which was a good way to end the episodes.

So, I’d call this an average episode. Nothing special, really, but it had funny scenes, and it wasn’t hard to watch. I can’t ask for more than that. Oh, and Scooby-Doo cameo!
