New “The Amazing Spider-Man” Promo Art

With the recent barrage of teasers and trailers for next year’s big-studio flicks, it looks like The Amazing Spider-Man doesn’t want to be left out. Sony just released slew of new pictures featuring this Webhead reboot. While the new photos don’t reveal too much, they give us some new looks at Andrew Garfield in full Spidey garb. Check out the pics below:

So what’d you guys think? From the looks of things, it seems like TASM will be borrowing a few pages from Christopher Nolan’s book. That’s certainly not a bad thing, especially considering how much fans are lobbying for a darker, less Raimi-ized version of Spider-Man. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Here’s the official synopsis for more:

Like most teenagers his age, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. In his journey to put the pieces of his past together he uncovers a secret that his father held…a secret that will ultimately shape his destiny as Spider-Man. This is the first in a series of movies that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story. On July 3rd, 2012, the untold story begins. And starring Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Denis Leary (George Stacy), Rhys Ifans (Curt Conners), Martin Sheen (Ben Parker), and Sally Field (May Parker), directed by Marc Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man movie is swinging into theaters in IMAX 3D!

Heyo. I'm Nick Dourian, the Editor-In-Chief around these parts. Now, I went to a few other sites, read a few awesome bios, and I really want to fabricate a badass origins story for myself, but I'm feeling particularly unimaginative today, so 'f' that jazz. I read comics, drink bourbon, and cook meats. Imagine Ron Swanson, but with a fuller beard and cuter eyes.
