New GOTHAM Images Highlight The Major Players

With Gotham officially set to air Mondays at 8 p.m. this fall, Fox is stepping up its promotion for the upcoming Batman prequel. After revealing the first cast photo over the weekend, the show posted a slew of new portraits today featuring the main cast (minus Corey Michael Smith, Victoria Cartagena and Andrew Stewart Jones, who were recently upgraded to series regulars). Check them out!

Behold! The cast of Gotham.

We also have a few images from the pilot itself. Nothing entirely new. Basically just some high-resolution shots from scenes seen in the trailer.

Let’s analyze each of these pictures. First, Bullock’s in a meat warehouse. It’s unclear whether this is a crime scene or just a spot he’s investigating. Either way, quite the stereotypical Gotham City location for some bad s**t to go down. Second, another look at Gordon threatening Penguin. The young detective must not like the idea of a war coming, and is taking out his anger on the scrawny bird-man. Considering that we saw Cobblepot pushed into the water in the trailer, I’d say Gordon wins this round.

Third, we have Gordon and Bullock at a graveyard. My money’s on them visiting Thomas and Martha Wayne’s funeral, but maybe they just like hanging out there to see if any rapscallions are causing trouble. Finally, we have Fish Mooney at her desk. She has a chessboard, which clearly means she’s intelligent and calculating. Unfortunately, that’s probably not going to save her from being killed off. In a cast mostly filled with established Batman characters, the sole original character is the least likely to survive. It’s a fact of nature.
