Looking forward to the future series that’s destined to tie-in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some obscure or not quite so obscure way?  Interested in finding out some fresh details?  Well you’re in luck because we have a couple nuggets to share with you.

According to an intrepid reporter over at TVLine, the following descriptions apparently breakdown the series roster via their casting details:

1614 the avengers 2012 nick fury painted hd 1152x864 1 Meet the crew of S.H.I.E.L.D.?Skye: This late-20s woman sounds like a dream: fun, smart, caring and confident – with an ability to get the upper hand by using her wit and charm.

Agent Grant Ward: Quite the physical specimen and “cool under fire,” he sometimes botches interpersonal relations. He’s a quiet one with a bit of a temper, but he’s the kind of guy that grows on you.

Agent Althea Rice: Also known as “The Calvary,” this hard-core soldier has crazy skills when it comes to weapons and being a pilot. But her experiences have left her very quiet and a little damaged.

Agent Leo Fitz and Agent Jemma Simmons: These two came through training together and still choose to spend most of their time in each other’s company. Their sibling-like relationship is reinforced by their shared nerd tendencies – she deals with biology and chemistry, he’s a whiz at the technical side of weaponry.

So there you have it Marvel fans, the supposed heroes of the upcoming show.  Yes, it seems that these characters are entirely new but could this be a smoke screen of some kind?  Fake names to throw us off the proverbial trail as it were?  I don’t know.  Personally the cast sounds fun and based off of the descriptions I’d give this show a go just to see them interact.

But what are your thoughts?  Are you eager to tune in to watch this shindig or is this one train you’re just not ready to ride?  Sound off with your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
