LEX LUTHOR’S Blonde and Beautiful in BATMAN V SUPERMAN

Earlier this year, Unleash The Fanboy reported on rumors that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s Lex Luthor will have a shaved head and spot street tattoos, but new reports from the LexCorp film set in Michigan say that Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor will actually have long blonde hair.

A source told Batman-News that Eisenberg had “a lot of hair” when he filmed the LexCorp scenes earlier this week. And although the hairstyle wasn’t Eisenberg’s typical curly hair, it’s still the furthest look from Lex Luthor you could possibly imagine.

The hair is long, dirty blonde and loose. But it’s being reported that these scenes actually take place during the beginning of the film so there is a possibility that we could see a bald Lex Luthor by the end of the movie.

That or we would be treated to a scene of Jesse Eisenberg symbolically shaving his head.

In that scene, actress Holly Hunter (who was previously speculated to be playing a Leslie Thompkins type character) was playing a U.S. senator meeting with the young billionaire alongside a congressman (played by an as of yet unknown actor) where Lex belittles and embarrasses the two because he’s Lex Luthor.

The purists out there shouldn’t be too concerned about this because it’s also being reported that Japanese actress Tao Okamoto (who played Mariko Yashida in The Wolverine) is playing Lex Luthor’s assistant, “Mercy”.

Mercy Graves most famously appeared in Superman: The Animated Series as Lex’s personal assistant, bodyguard, chauffeur and all around badass.

“You are going to hate this guy. You are going to root for him to be punched by Supes when he weasels his way out of legal trouble. He is cocky and confident because he is THAT good at what he does. He’s a billionaire who knows he is more powerful than the Senator and Congressman visiting because he’s a billionaire,” said a source speaking to ComicBook.com.

And almost to prove this point, sources reported that the interior of LexCorp will have a very Apple/Google feel, with basketball courts, pinball machines and “everyone looks ultra douchey”. During the scene, Lex swoops in, takes a basketball shot, turns around and shakes the senator’s hand (haha, classic Lex!), which gives me the impression that this Lex is more like Justin Hammer from Iron Man 2 than Michael Rosenbaum from Smallville.

Although according to these reports, this version of the evil billionaire sounds like the most horrible thing I have ever heard from any comic book film these past two years (second only to hearing Batman will be in this movie), I think we should wait it out and see what Zack Snyder and co. have planned for us.

These are all secondhand reports and as with any reports from superhero films, they always sound awful at first. I think we might be pleasantly surprised with Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, or at the very least he will be an acceptable villain.
