In your wild interweb wanderings, you may have come across our good friends at Cinelinx.com, one of the more venerable movie news sites in the wide world of bloggery. They’ve been micro-brewing some breaking news for the past few years and I’ve had the distinct pleasure of getting to know their head honcho Jordan Maison. A pretty cool dude who knowns his shit.
Well, the other day he mentioned that he’s cooking up a crazy new card game, made specifically for movie lovers, and I thought it was one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a while. Imagine a card game version of 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon mixed with a back alley Dominoes tournament. That’s how you get…
Cinelinx: The Card Game.
Well, Jordan and the good folks at Cinelinx have asked for some help bringing this fun little game to life, and I assured him that all of you lovely readers will support the teets out of his project. So don’t make me look bad! Check out this quick Kickstarter vid below, and donate directly through the awesome little embed button at the bottom of the page. Every dollar counts! But if you donate $20 you receive a free copy of the game, which is kinda awesome.
The Cinelinx game consists of cards that have either actors names, directors names, movie titles, quotes, and genres on them. The point of the game is to play the hand you’re dealt by finding connections between the cards. We’ve also added Wild Cards, Double Feature Cards, and Director’s Cut cards to the game to keep things interesting.
