Geek Fuel January of 2016 Review

GEEK FUEL is a monthly comic con in a box subscription service that will run you $23.90 a month with shipping included.  If you order multiple boxes at once though you will be hooked up with various discounts and bonuses. Is the first box of the new year worth your cash?  You be the judge

One of the coolest items in this month’s crate is a Star Labs Coffee mug.  This item is a very cool mash up between Star Bucks and the Flash TV series.  Also included is a solid Resident Evil Pin as well as Link Candies in an awesome  tin.  While I usually don’t like candy in these boxes, I take it back this month because this tin is just too damn  cool.  Usual items included are the Geek Fuel Magazine and the Steam downloadable code.  Metro Warp valued at $10 is this month’s game.

A Jakku Comic Con poster is also in this month’s box.  I really like it, can’t explain why.  So I won’t

This month’s T-Shirt is both incredibly cool and frustrating to me.  “A Brief History of Time Travel”  covers time machines/travel from H.G. Wells through Hot Tub Time Machine.  Its a great design and concept, but I hated every aspect of Hot Tub Time Machine.  It was a movie I watched with low expectations despite liking most of the cast, and by the time it was over I wanted punch Craig Robinson in the face.  And I think Craig Robinson is incredibly likable.

So is this month’s GEEK FUEL worth you cash?  As always it depends on your affinity for the franchises included. What I will say is though is they have been kicking ass the last three months.  With a Steam game code, huge and incredibly well themed additional raffle, and T shirt every month this should be the preferred monthly box of the 100 million Steam gamers.
