Chris Pratt as INDIANA JONES??? Yep, we’re good with it!

Ever since Lucasfilm was purchased by Disney there have been lots of speculation as it relates to everyone’s favorite archeologist/adventurer, the one and only Indiana Jones.

According to Deadline the House of Mouse with both the Avengers and Star Wars franchises fresh in everyone’s mind they’ve set their sights on the next one they want to tackle. Dr. Henry Jones Jr. is up with a potentially fresh leading man to boot, Chris Pratt. Now as much as I would like to see Harrison Ford return to one of his most recognizable characters, I think it might be time for someone else to don the hat. And the man who pulled off a Han Solo type persona for a new generation might be perfect for it.

With all that said I want to get this off my chest: I enjoyed Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Was it flawed? Yep. Could we have done without the vine swinging or the inter-dimensional beings and it’s odd message that too much knowledge is bad? Oh absolutely, but it was still a solid excuse to see an icon, while in his sixties mind you, fight evil with a whip and swagger like no other.

So I say Disney it’s time to take a note from the more recent Star Trek movies, find a way to bridge the old with the new! Have Harrison Ford play an aged version reflecting on his youth or time travel or something.

But what do you think? Is this inspired casting? Has Chris Pratt become way too popular?
