Blackout #4 Review

Who can figure out what is going on with the suit that changes the world around the wearer of the story? Well it isn’t our hero. Read on to find out more.

The dimension-jumping Blackout suit is a powerful weapon—except when it doesn’t work! And if you’re Scott Travers and don’t know how the suit functions and are facing off against enemies wearing ultra powerful combat armor, the Blackout suit is just extra weight—dead weight!

So with the suit being figured out within each issue of this series, it doesn’t seem to be doing 24175anything but messing up for our hero. However, it is getting quite repetitive. I am sorry to say that but the story is losing it’s umpth because of the way that the suit just keeps messing up. It is very sad. This issue deals with a battle between good vs evil, where Scott still has issues with the suit, which could be fun or exciting but in this way it is just done over and over again and again. It is really starting to get in the way of a series that could be so good. There is some good, which is that Scott is so likable, I don’t want him to fail, which is a strong part of this story.

The writing is okay but it is starting to get over done. I really want him to get the point and at least a great grasp on the suit so we can move on from this. It is just really hard to deal with.

The art is fantastic. It does a great job of moving the story forward with color and lines that work for the comic. It is something that should be highlighted and enjoyed very much so.

Blackout is losing its steam but has still great hope.
