ANIME MONDAY 4/22/13

Hello & Welcome to ANIME MONDAY here on Unleash The Fanboy! Monday has reared it’s ugly head once again but don’t fret because we have a hot batch of Anime here to start your day off right. I Marcell, your humble guide take you on a journey through today’s plate of episodes from Japan. Team Natsu solves a mystery in “Fairy Tail”, A celebrity becomes the next star of the Midnight Channel in “Persona 4”, Kirito & Asuna take on the Boss of Floor 74 in “Sword Art Online”, & Aladdin joins a group of nomads in “Magi”. Now without further delay let’s get started.

Fairy Tail – “Natsu Devours a Village”

“Natsu Devours a Village” may be a filler episode but it is an enjoyable one. Filled with the light hearted humor the show excels at and a few good action scenes. Not much drama here, but the mystery of the deserted town is interesting and the dangerous history of Clover Canyon adds to the atmosphere of the scenes. The adventure continues next week as Team Natsu finally return to Fairy Tail.

Persona 4: The Animation – “No One Sees the real me”

This episode serves as a nice introduction to Rise and also drives the investigation more as more and more theories about the Midnight Channel are brought to the surface. The ending of this episode is also ominous as well, but I won’t spoil it for you.

Sword Art Online – “The Blue Eyed Demon”

“The Blue-Eyed Demon” is a pretty solid episode with plenty of action and character moments. I think it is easily one of the strongest episodes of the show and cemented why I like this show so much. The fight to survive continues next week on SAO.

Magi: Labyrinth of Magic – “People of The Plains”

“People of the Plains” is a nice episode as it explores the world of Magi more by introducing new characters and adding to the mystery of the Magi and what they are supposed to do. There is humor, good action, some character drama and the ending of this episode was a pretty heartbreaking cliff hanger.
