A few months ago, we reported that Toonami would return to the world of cable television, filling that deep dark abyss that was left when Cartoon Network decided to cancel it, and it seems that another classic token of the Elder Animated World is about to make a stunning comeback…
Dragon Ball Z!
In a recent issue of a confusingly titled anime magazine which I will not utter here (major geek points if you recognize that reference), DB‘s lead animators revealed that they’re making a brand new film. It’s a prequel-esque feature set before the events in Dragon Ball GT, which is fine by me… since that was one of the most overly indulgent runs in the franchise. In reference to Akira Toriyama’s manga, the flick will find its home between the 517th and 518th entries.
I wish we had more info for you, like a list of possible villains and the exact amount of inappropriate sexual innuendos that will appear, but this is all we have for now! Whatcha think?
