Lost in much of the talk about the new Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer was that X-Men:Days of Future Past released a teaser aswell. It wasn’t so much of a trailer, but more of a trailer for the trailer. It is a seven second montage of people either looking scared, in pain, or screaming. For people who haven’t seen it, some notable clips are Young Xavier in pain using Cerebro, Mystique crying, Wolverine punching someone (no claws….), and Older Xavier completely losing his cool. Including the stills that were released last week, the public can conclude that this movie looks like it will be harsh on our beloved characters. Along with the release of the Teaser was the announcement of the first trailer to be released for the blockbuster.
The video was tweeted out by Bryan Singer on October 24, along with the announcement that the real trailer will come out on October 29th. Yea that’s tomorrow. So to rephrase all of this, the trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past is being released tomorrow. As awesome as The Winter Soldier trailer was, I personally am way more excited for this one. What is it about? How is there so much time travel, and why does Xavier and Magneto have to go back in time and fix whatever it is that needs to be fixed? There are so many cliffhangers from The Last Stand and from First Class that need to be touched on. The trailer will show much more about some characters that were not shown in either the stills or the teaser (Rouge, Bolivar Trask, Quicksilver) and I really hope to see what the Sentinels will look like.
I will be waiting on pins and needles all night tonight waiting for the new trailer to come out. I have already seen the teaser about 40 times and I have reviewed the stills. Now it’s time for the real thing to come out. For anyone who wants to see the teaser here you go.
