Will There Be Two Post-Credits Scenes For The Avengers?

Ok, this will be a very confusing article. Yesterday, a press conference was held for The Avengers and /Film was in attendance. To conclude it, Robert Downey Jr said “We’re shooting another scene tonight”. The crowd erupted with laughter, and he replied “I’m not kidding. NO MORE QUESTIONS!” Classic RDJ. After that, /Film interviewed Kevin Fiege, and when asked whether RDJ was telling the truth Fiege said, “Do you always trust everything Robert Downey Jr says?” so we took that as debunking the rumor. That ends that then.

But THEN, Mark Ruffalo confirmed to The Playlist that they were indeed shooting another scene, as written in our earlier article.

“We’re shooting a scene tonight. I’m not sure exactly where it’s gonna go. All I know is that someone came in with the costume and said, ‘Here’s some wardrobe. We don’t know where you’re going to be or what you’re doing.’ ” Ruffalo said. We asked if it will be in the “The Avengers” when it hits theaters Ruffalo added, “Yeah. So I’m like, ‘All right, when are we doing that?’ Today after we’re done.”

So logically, it would seem that the scene involves Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. Now for the explanation about the post-credits scene. And for that, you need to highlight the text below to read it as it is VERY spoilery. Read ahead at your own risk:

At the end of the animated credit sequence, a scene rolls (which was shown at the premiere) that features Thanos, a Chitauri (or maybe a group of them) and reportedly Thor. The normal credits then roll, and there was no scene attached to the end. This has led people to believe that a scene for right after the credits has been shot, which would most likely be a tie-in to either Thor 2 or Iron Man 3.

What do you think of this? Sound off in the comments below.
