UPDATE: Who Wants To Know How Long The Dark Knight Rises Rough Cut Is?

We all know by now that the other day Christopher Nolan screened a rough cut of The Dark Knight Rises  to Warner Bros execs, and the movie got a standing ovation. MTV reports (via Comic Book Movie) that they indeed know the length of that rough cut, although it’s no indication as to what the actual length of the movie will be.

The Dark Knight Rises is real and finished, presumably in the form of a four-hour rough cut.

Wait, what the hell? 4 HOURS! I’m a massive Batfan and all but I don’t know if I can sit through a 4 hour Batman movie. Of course, the movie will be considerably shorter than that but still, 4 hours!? That’s longer than Return Of The King! The longest I’d want the movie to be is 3 hours max, maybe a bit longer but not much. Although I’d happily watch a 4 hour Director’s Cut that had an hour of new footage. Still, what do you make of this? Would YOU sit through a 4 hour Batman movie? Sound off in the comments below.

UPDATE: Looks like the rough cut wasn’t four hours long. The writer of the article (Kevin P. Sullivan) tweeted the following:
