After the (arguable) letdown that was The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, fans have been debating whether the sequel, The Desolation of Smaug (coming this December), will be any better. Well, it seems we may be getting our first hint to the answer to that soon.
The first look at footage from the movie will come with the Blu-Ray/DVD of the first film, releasing on March 19, however the trailer will also be premiering online five days later in a live-streaming event at www.thehobbit.com/sneak at 3PM ET. But, the kicker is you need an UltraViolet code (which comes with the DVD of An Unexpected Journey) to access the stream.
Or you can just wait for the inevitable bootleg of the trailer which will probably come out a matter of minutes after the live stream begins.
