What Will The Third Part Of THE HOBBIT Be Called?

Ever since it was announced Peter Jackson would be filming a third Hobbit movie, speculation was rife about what it would be called and when it would be released. There were plenty of rumours about the title, with the most popular one being it potentially be called The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies. I also like that one. Well, Deadline confirms that the second film has been re-titled The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and the third movie will take the second one’s previous title, There and Back Again.

Not only that, but There and Back Again has been dated for July 18, 2014, the same release date as X-Men: Days of Future Past. Warner Bros Pictures President of Domestic Distribution Dan Fellman said this about the move in a statement below:

“We wanted to have a shorter gap between the second and third films of The Hobbit Trilogy. Opening in July affords us not only the perfect summer tentpole, but fans will have less time to wait for the finale of this epic adventure.”

Expect to hear of a release date change for the latter soon. Are you still looking forward to a third Hobbit film? Sound off below.
